This policy explains, in plain English, how we may use personal information when you contact us or use our website. It is provided for general information and is not legal advice.

Depending on how you contact us, this may include:

  • Your address or the location where work is required.
  • Details of the work you would like help with.
  • Photos, videos or other information you choose to send about a job.
  • Messages and correspondence relating to an enquiry or completed work.

3. Why we use this information

We may use this information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and discuss your requirements.
  • Prepare an estimate, arrange a visit or carry out requested work.
  • Communicate about a booking, payment, follow-up or customer service.
  • Keep reasonable business records and meet legal obligations.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process personal information only where there is an appropriate reason to do so. This will normally be to take steps you ask us to take before entering into a service arrangement, to perform an agreed service, to meet a legal obligation, or for our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business. Where consent is needed, we will ask for it.

5. Photos and project information

Photos or other job information you send may be used to understand the requested work, prepare an estimate, plan a visit and, where appropriate, document completed work.

We will not intentionally publish photos containing identifiable customers, personal information or private details for marketing without an appropriate basis or permission.

6. WhatsApp

This website includes links that let you contact us through WhatsApp. If you choose to use one, you will be taken to WhatsApp and your use of that service is subject to WhatsApp and Meta's own privacy practices. We do not control how WhatsApp processes information within its service.

7. Email and phone enquiries

You can contact us by email or phone. We use the information you provide through those channels to reply to you and manage the service you request. There is currently no contact form on this website.

8. Website technical data

When you visit this website, the hosting platform and normal web infrastructure may process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser or device information, request logs and security information. This is used to deliver and help protect the website.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or advertising tracking on this website.

9. Cookies and local storage

This website does not intentionally use non-essential analytics or advertising cookies at present. It uses browser local storage with the key whatsappClosed to remember when the WhatsApp welcome widget has been dismissed.

Requests to third-party resources, such as Google Fonts and Font Awesome from cdnjs, may involve technical data being processed by those providers. We will review this policy before adding analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking.

10. Third-party services

The website uses Cloudflare Pages for hosting, Google Fonts for website fonts and cdnjs to load Font Awesome icons. WhatsApp is only opened if you choose to use a WhatsApp link. These third parties process information under their own privacy policies.

11. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only where necessary to provide a requested service, comply with law, protect our rights or safety, or with service providers that help us operate the website or business.

12. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including handling an enquiry, providing a service, keeping business records and meeting legal obligations. We may keep it longer where a legal claim or dispute requires this.

13. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure, but we limit access to information to what is reasonably necessary.

14. Your data protection rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request erasure or restriction of processing, object to certain processing, or ask for a copy of information you provided in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

15. Irish Data Protection Commission

If you have a concern, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it. You may also raise a concern with the Irish Data Protection Commission.
